Pretty simple.

For right-handers, this is in the left hand. The Sram Grip ShiftTM controls the rear derailleur. The brake lever there controls the front disc brakes, if the trike is so configured.

WHY? You may ask?

Because a right-hander's left side isn&339;t as strong, and these disc brakes will flat-out do the job. Make all your steering and braking inputs gently, gently.

"Gently" because these brakes are very powerful. They can stop on a dime and give you about eight cents change. They need to be powerful so that extra force is available on the down-hill side of steep hills. But that same braking effort is available on flat ground, and could cause a kind of tipping problem if you really "came down" on the lever.

We've never actually seen that done, nor have we been able to do it ourselves. But the potential is there, so we thought to mention it. Brake gently - right?
